The Best Christian Dating Sites for Seniors in 2025
Christian dating sites can help older adults find romantic matches with similar beliefs and values. In addition to the unique bond a shared faith generates, many Christian dating services offer a variety of faith-specific features, such as daily Bible verses, faith-focused community forums, in-app sermons, and articles that provide Christ-centered dating advice.
Here are our picks for the best Christian dating sites for seniors.
Pro Tip: For secular romance, check out our rundown of the best dating sites for seniors overall.
The Best Christian Dating Sites for Seniors in 2025
- SilverSingles : Best for seniors seeking seniors
- Christian Cafe : Free 10-day trial
- Christian Mingle : Best for in-person meet-ups
- Christian Dating for Free : Best free site
- Match.com : Most popular among seniors
- eHarmony : Best compatibility quiz
How We Chose Our Favorites
- Membership size: We sought sites with large memberships. The more members a site has, the more potential matches are available.
- Matching features: We favored sites with advanced algorithms that produce matches based on detailed questionnaires and personality tests.
- Cost: We selected services that offer users a solid chance of finding a compatible match at a price that won’t break the bank. Extra points went to sites if they showed us unblurred photos or let us message matches free of charge.
- Customer reviews: To broaden our perspective, we looked at real customer reviews from Consumer Affairs and Trustpilot.
Our Top Picks
SilverSingles - Made for Seniors Seeking Seniors
What We Like Most:
- Aimed at seniors ages 50 and up
- Over 381,000 new members monthly
- Compatibility quiz
- Free membership option
Overview
SilverSingles isn’t aimed specifically at Christians, but 80 percent of its users are 50 or older. To find other Christians, we simply filtered by religion. SilverSingles is a great place to look if you’re looking not just for a Christian, but also for one around your age.
Standout Features
Unlike Christian Cafe, which requires a brief, five-minute personality quiz, SilverSingles requires a much lengthier personality assessment. When we tested the site, we specified what we were looking for, including our desired ages and religions, as well as basic facts about ourselves, such as our job, income bracket, and favorite first-date activities.
SilverSingles aimed to go a bit deeper with its compatibility quiz. It wasn’t exactly clear what each question was screening for, but we looked at pictures and clicked the ones we identified with the most. The most memorable pictures were of a few desks: one clean, one sort of clean, and one messy. Being control freaks, we clicked the super-clean option, and we assumed SilverSingles would match us with other neat freaks. Count us in!
Pricing
SilverSingles is not quite as cheap as Christian Cafe — it starts at about $20 a month versus Christian Cafe’s $10 — but that’s pretty average for dating sites. SilverSingles also offers a completely free version, not just a free trial.
SilverSingles Membership Costs
Months of subscription | Monthly cost | Total |
---|---|---|
3 months | $39.95 | $119.85 |
6 months | $22.95 | $137.70 |
12 months | $19.95 | $239.40 |
With the free version, however, the photos were blurred and we couldn’t message people. We could only search and like, making a paid subscription nearly mandatory.
What Others Are Saying
SilverSingles has a 1.3 rating on Consumer Affairs and a 2.5 rating on Trustpilot, which was pretty disappointing. People appreciated the personality test, safety features, and large number of seniors on the site, but they complained about the limited free membership and algorithm that shows you more the more you use the site. The solution? Log on to SilverSingles at least once a day to show you’re an active user looking for love.
Drawbacks
Because SilverSingles isn’t specific to Christians, we had trouble finding specific information about people’s religion and religious involvement without asking them directly. On a Christian-specific site like Christian Cafe, we could filter so we saw only people with our exact denomination and church involvement. This took a bit more legwork.
Our Verdict
If dating a fellow senior is important to you and you’re willing to put in the time to find a person whose religion is compatible with yours, we recommend SilverSingles.

Pros
- Free version with searches and likes
- Verifications on every new member
- Personality test
- Eight out of 10 users are 50 or older
Cons
- Not specific to Christians
- Anyone 18 and older could join
Christian Cafe - Free 10-Day Trial
What We Like Most:
- Christian-owned and -operated
- Free 10-day trial
- Inactive profiles are automatically removed
- Christian forums for platonic interactions
Overview
If you’re a single Christian seeking the same, consider Christian Cafe. It allows only Christians who are not legally married. The best part? We tried it for 10 days, completely free of charge.
Standout Features
Because Christian Cafe is specific to Christians, it allowed us to get really granular with exactly what we were looking for. There are nearly 45,000 denominations of Christianity, according to the Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and people have different levels of church involvement, from weekly attendance to only going to Christmas mass. We appreciated that Christian Cafe let us filter by denomination and church involvement. We didn’t see that feature on sites that weren’t specific to Christians, such as SilverSingles.
Another feature we appreciated was the app’s security. To hide our identity, we initially uploaded generic headshots we found on the internet. Christian Cafe actually rejected those headshots and didn’t allow us to upload them to our profiles, which gave us peace of mind that everyone on the site is a real person.
Pricing
After the 10-day free trial ends, Christian Cafe requires you to pay to continue using the site. Memberships start as low as $9.99 per month, and the lowest prices go to users who pay for a year of the service in advance.
Christian Cafe Membership Costs
Term length | Price per month | Total amount billed |
---|---|---|
1 month | $39.97 | $39.97 |
3 months | $19.99 | $59.97 |
6 months | $16.67 | $99.97 |
12 months | $9.99 | $119.97 |
The prices are pretty reasonable, especially with the annual commitment. Many dating websites, such as Christian Mingle and SilverSingles, start at around $20 to $25 a month.
What Others Are Saying
Christian Cafe has a 3.8-star rating (out of five) on Trustpilot from six reviews, the highest overall rating of any site on this list. Customers praised the site for its members, who are serious about finding a relationship based on faith. Some people found that there weren’t enough members, but that would probably be true of any dating site. You’ll find fewer people in less densely populated areas. As one member recommended, simply expand your search area to find more people.
Drawbacks
We were pleased with the customer screening Christian Cafe did, but its privacy policy concerned us. It admitted that employees can see customer passwords, credit card information, and usernames completely unencrypted. The company also sells member information, albeit aggregated, to third parties. If you want a more secure company, check out SilverSingles, which encrypts user data and does not sell it to third parties.
Our Verdict
Despite the cybersecurity issues, Christian Cafe is a great way to get into the Christian online dating game. If you want something more specific than just “Christian,” it’s the place for you.
Pros
- Christians only
- Filter by denomination and church involvement
- Detects fake photos
- Affordable prices
Cons
- Not exclusive to seniors
- No free membership after 10-day trial ends
- Does not encrypt sensitive member data
- Shares aggregated member data with third parties

Christian Mingle - Best for In-Person Meet-Ups
What We Like Most:
- Live events, including singles parties and speed dating
- Free version that includes unblurred photos
- Highest percentage of Christians among any dating site around the world
- Christian-specific
Overview
Like Christian Cafe, Christian Mingle includes only Christians, and the company claims it has the highest percentage of Christians of any dating site globally. One thing Christian Mingle has that Christian Cafe doesn’t is in-person events, which allow you a hybrid dating experience in real life and online.
Standout Features
Besides Match, Christian Mingle is the only site on this list to offer in-person events across the U.S. On Valentine’s Day 2024, for example, the site offered a speed dating event in the Astoria neighborhood of New York City, as well as a singles party in Austin, Texas.
Since we were in New York City at that time, we popped into the speed dating event and met 15 singles, all from the ages of 25 to 40, for three minutes each. The event was held at a cute tavern called Katch and included free appetizers and drinks. The event wasn’t available for seniors, but not all events have such an age limit and we think meeting in person is a quicker way to determine compatibility than endless swiping or messaging.
In addition to the in-person events, we also liked that we could filter by religion and church attendance as well as the typical categories such as height and marital status. That made it easy to find not only other Christians, but also people of a similar faith.
Pricing
We’ll be frank: Christian Mingle is on the expensive side, with prices starting around $25 a month if you sign up for six months. There also is no annual subscription option. There is a free version with unblurred photos, but messaging someone requires a subscription.
The prices may be worth it, however, if you’re interested in the in-person events.
Christian Mingle Membership Pricing
Term length | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
---|---|---|
1 month | $49.99 | $49.99 |
3 months | $34.99 | $104.97 |
6 months | $24.99 | $149.94 |
What Others Are Saying
Christian Mingle has low customer ratings — a 1.8 on Consumer Affairs and a 1.4 on Trustpilot, from a total of 136 reviews. Let’s start with what people liked: the large number of people on the website, the free trial, and the focus on long-term relationships, which most singles on the site wanted. Not surprisingly, however, people weren’t happy with the premium membership’s prices.
Drawbacks
Christian Mingle says it has almost 60,000 new sign-ups per month. That may seem like a lot, but SilverSingles gets over 381,000 new members each month. Christian Mingle may not be the biggest pool of singles, but it is a pool filled only with Christians.
Our Verdict
If you’re OK with paying a little extra for in-person events, you’ll love getting to know people — both in-person and online — with Christian Mingle.
Pros
- Live speed-dating and singles events
- Christians only
- Sort by denomination and church attendance
- Detailed compatibility quiz
Cons
- Expensive
- No annual option
- Small in comparison to non-Christian dating sites
- Not specific to seniors
Christian Dating for Free - Best Free Site
What We Like Most:
- Christian-specific
- Largest Christian dating site globally
- Doesn’t require membership to look
- Free unblurred photos, messaging, and likes
Overview
Christian Dating for Free, also known as CDFF, offers free Christian dating. We didn’t even have to sign up to see the singles in our area, and we didn’t have to pay to message them either. If you want to meet singles fast without paying a dime, CDFF is for you.
Standout Features
Unsurprisingly given its name, CDFF is a free Christian dating app. Other sites have free trials or even free versions, but most come with some pretty major caveats. With Christian Mingle, for example, we could see unblurred photos but couldn’t message any cuties we found.
Things were the opposite at Eharmony, where the photos were blurred but we could message them anyway (“Hi, blurry man!”). With CDFF, however, we could see, message, and like people for free. There are some premium features available, as we detail below, but none of them are essential for dating.
Perhaps related to its comprehensive free version, CDFF is the largest Christian dating site in the world. That makes sense, since people don’t want to shell out money just to meet a fellow Christian! If you want a large pool of only Christians, CDFF is the best of both worlds.
Pricing
We were happy with the free option, but there are paid subscriptions to Christian Dating for Free that range from about $15 to $30 per month.
Christian Dating for Free Membership Pricing
Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
---|---|---|
1 | $29.99 | $29.99 |
3 | $16.66 | $49.99 |
6 | 14.99 | $89.99 |
What do these subscriptions offer?
- Push notifications when your “favorites” go online
- Get your profile shown first on searches
- Keep messages for more than 90 days
- No ads
- See the last time someone logged in and if your sent messages were deleted
- Send as many messages per day as you want
- Upload more pictures to your profile
Those features are nice to have, but they’re not essential. That means the site is functional without a paid subscription.
What Others Are Saying
Christian Dating for Free doesn’t have reviews on Consumer Affairs, but customers on Trustpilot gave it 1.9 out of five stars from 24 reviews total. Unfortunately, 80 percent of the reviews were one star. What gives?
People were not too happy when they realized the site isn’t completely free (since a paid version exists) and the free version has annoying pop-ups. Many users also were not active and the user experience wasn’t great, with buttons that didn’t work and “local” users that weren’t even close. That, however, will depend on where you’re located.
Drawbacks
Because we went with the free version, the desktop website for CDFF had a bunch of annoying pop-up ads. The user experience also wasn’t quite as smooth as a larger, more expensive website like Match.com. It looked like it hadn’t been updated since the early 2000s, and the pop-up banner ads were distracting.
Our Verdict
The website could use an update, but CDFF is one of the best ways to meet Christians online — and it’s completely free.
Pros
- Free to like and message people
- Unblurred photos
- Biggest Christian dating site in the world
- Specific to Christians
Cons
- Free version includes ads
- Not specific to seniors
Match.com - Most Popular Among Seniors
What We Like Most:
- Over one in four members is 50 or older
- Most popular dating app among people ages 50 or older
- In-person events
- Free version that includes messaging and likes
Overview
Match is the most popular dating app among older adults. According to a 2022 Pew Research survey, 53 percent of U.S. online daters in their 50s, 51 percent of online daters in their 60s, and 41 percent of online daters in their 70s have tried Match. Match’s member statistics show that the 50-and-older demographic is the site’s fastest-growing user base, making up 37 percent of users.
Standout Features
Match is not specific to seniors or Christians, but it has both in high numbers. It’s the No. 1 app older adults use for online dating, eclipsing Eharmony, Tinder, and OkCupid. We could filter by religion and age, so it was still easy to make the large dating pool a bit more niche.
Aside from its popularity among older adults, we loved that, like Christian Mingle, Match has in-person events, which are appropriately called Match Events. Held all across the country, the events let you meet people face to face, with some helpful icebreakers to keep things feeling fun. Just note that the events aren’t included and cost extra. If you choose a paid membership, however, you can get a discount.
Pricing
Match’s prices are pretty middle-of-the-road, with subscriptions starting around $20 a month with an annual package.
Match Membership Pricing
Months of subscription | Monthly cost | Total |
---|---|---|
3 | $39.99 | $119.97 |
6 | $24.99 | $149.94 |
12 | $19.99 | $239.88 |
There’s also a free version that let us send a limited number of messages and get six Top Picks — profiles the algorithm thought that we’d like — each day. We could see only people who Super Liked us instead of everyone who liked us, though, and we didn’t get read receipts, a monthly boost, or other rewards like the Match Events discount we mentioned. Upgrading isn’t essential, but it will certainly help you meet your person faster.
What Others Are Saying
A total of 3,345 real customers reviewed Match on Consumer Affairs and Trustpilot, giving it overall ratings of 1.7 and 2.1 out of five stars, respectively. People weren’t happy with the prices and that free members could not respond to all their messages. We noticed that many of the reviews were about the people on the site, not the actual site. Some people were unhappy with their subscriptions being renewed automatically, which locked them into another three months. Some claimed that Match refused to give them refunds, even when they canceled in advance.
Drawbacks
Because Match is open to everyone 18 and older and it’s the most popular dating app for older adults, it may take a bit more weeding out than a Christian-specific site like Christian Cafe or Christian Mingle. You can still filter by religion, though, so at least you can talk only to Christians even though they may not be your exact denomination.
Our Verdict
If you want to cast a wide net in your search for love, Match is the way to go. You’ll appreciate its popularity among older adults, its in-person events, and its free version.
To learn more about the site, read our full Match senior dating review.
Pros
- Free version includes messaging
- In-person events
- Most popular dating site for seniors
- Quick sign-up process
Cons
- Not specific to seniors or Christians
- No personality test
eHarmony - Best Compatibility Quiz
What We Like Most:
- Matches based on compatibility
- Known by over 70 percent of U.S. adults
- Uses SMS to verify users
- About 10 million active users as of 2017, according to Business Insider
Overview
Maybe you want a dating website that involves more than filling out a profile and going through endless photos. You’ll appreciate Eharmony, which has a lengthy personality quiz aimed at figuring out who you’re compatible with — not just who you say you want to date.
Standout Features
Similar to SilverSingles, Eharmony has a compatibility quiz that took about 20 minutes to fill out. It asked questions such as:
- Where would you want to live if you could choose anywhere in the world?
- What is the main reason you want a relationship?
It then showed us images — ranging from houses to flowers to random shapes — and had us pick the one we found the most appealing. It also asked what we would do in certain scenarios before we filled out the basic information about our job, education level, height, income, weight, and, of course, religion. From there, we were shown matches that fit not only our criteria, but also our personalities as determined by Eharmony’s compatibility quiz.
Eharmony isn’t specific to Christians or even seniors, but it has a user base of millions and let us filter by age and religion to customize exactly who we wanted to date. We couldn’t get as specific with our filters as we could on Christian websites such as Christian Cafe and Christian Mingle, but Eharmony will give you far more choices if you’re not as picky about the denomination you’d like or you’re willing to chat with people and figure out that information.
Pricing
We’ll be frank: Eharmony is the most expensive dating site we’ve tested. The minimum cost per month is about $30, which is three times the minimum of Christian Cafe. That $30-per-month option also is available only if you sign up for two years, which is far longer than anyone would hope to be on a dating site.
Eharmony Membership Pricing
Term length in months | Cost per month | Total amount billed |
---|---|---|
6 | $59.90 | $359.40 |
12 | $39.90 | $478.80 |
24 | $29.90 | $717.60 |
We think Eharmony’s prices are high because it has the most brand awareness of any site on this list. According to Statista Consumer Insights, 71 percent of U.S. adults ages 18 to 64 are aware of Eharmony, while 69 percent of adults know about Match and only 55 percent are aware of Christian Mingle. Essentially, you’re paying for a bigger dating pool, because people have to know about a site before they can use it.
What Others Are Saying
Eharmony has the most customer reviews on this list. It has a total of nearly 4,400 across Consumer Affairs, where it has a 1.5 rating, and Trustpilot, where it has a 3.3 rating. Similarly to Match, people complained about Eharmony’s billing and cancellation policies, claiming they got charged even after canceling. Many complained about the lack of new profiles on Eharmony, saying they got the same suggestions over and over. On a positive note, many people, with a little patience, had success meeting romantic partners!
Drawbacks
Of all the dating sites on this list, Eharmony is the most expensive and requires the longest commitment, with subscriptions starting at six months. We prefer sites that offer a one-month option, like Christian Cafe, Christian Mingle, and Christian Dating for Free. Eharmony has a free version, but it showed us only blurred photos and let us message people on a limited basis, so a subscription is definitely necessary.
Our Verdict
Even though Eharmony may be pricey, we think it’s worth it to be in a large dating pool, many of whom are senior Christians just like you.
To learn more about the site, read our full Eharmony senior dating review.
Pros
- Very few fake or scammer profiles
- Over 600,000 marriages
- Three-day free trial
- New video-dating platform available within app
Cons
- Expensive
- Open to faiths beyond Christians
Faith and Dating in the Digital Age
You may have heard of “hook-up culture,” the idea of people getting physical before they’re in a committed, monogamous marriage. Generally, we use the phrase to discuss young people, but according to a study by the DOI Foundation, “Older adults are more likely to participate in the hook-up culture of casual encounters and condomless sex, which might be further encouraged by the availability of drugs for sexual dysfunction, the commonality of living in retirement communities, and the increased use of dating apps for seniors.”
If you’re Christian, chances are you’re not comfortable with sexual contact outside of marriage. How will you confront those challenges when dating online? We recommend taking it slow and making sure you find people who are comfortable with your boundaries. Discuss those boundaries before entering into a physical relationship with someone, and make sure you’re on the same page. Meet people in public spaces first, and don’t feel pressured to get physical right away. The right person will wait, so make sure to leave room for Jesus!
How to Choose a Dating Site for Christian Seniors
From Christian Cafe and Christian Mingle to Christian Dating for Free to CatholicMatch, how do you decide which dating site for Christian seniors to choose? Below are a few things to consider.
- Price: If you’re on a fixed income, you may not have the money in your budget for a dating site. Many sites offer free versions, though, some of which allow unblurred photos and messaging.
- Membership: Learn information about who is on the dating site. Is it Christians only? Seniors only? Who are the site’s most common users? Make sure you’re fishing in the right pond, so to speak.
- User experience: Make sure the dating site and its mobile apps are easy to use. Free sites may be kind to your wallet, but they may not have the functionality of sites that require memberships.
- Filters: Time is of the essence, so make sure your site lets you filter by age and religion at a minimum. Even more convenient sites will let you filter by denomination and church attendance or involvement, allowing you to find more quickly someone compatible with your faith.
- In-person events: If in-person events are something you’re looking for, consider Match or Christian Mingle, since that isn’t a common feature offered by most dating sites.
- Privacy and security: How does the company protect user data? Does it encrypt it? Does it sell it to third parties for marketing purposes? How does the site ensure that all of its users are legitimate? Take a look at the company’s privacy policy to make sure it’s secure. At the very least, companies should encrypt sensitive data and not share it with third parties, and should have some fraud-detection system to prevent online dating scams.
- How the site matches users: Some sites are more bare bones, requiring only a few basic facts about who you are and what you are seeking, but some sites, such as Eharmony, have more complicated compatibility quizzes. They take longer, but they yield better results in terms of matches.

Safety First: Protecting Your Heart and Faith Online
In 2022, over 5.4 million U.S. consumers reported fraud to the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Sentinel Network. Of the reports that contained age information, about a third were from people 60 or older, reporting losses of more than $1.6 billion. And that’s only the scams that were reported. How can you date online while protecting yourself and avoiding scams?

According to the Department of Homeland Security, you can avoid romance scams by following these tips:
- Do a reverse image search on Google to see if their picture is legitimate or not. Additionally, search for their name or other details.
- Don’t send money to strangers.
- Don’t share personal information, such as your home address, Social Security number, or financial information.
- Go with your gut. If you think something is wrong, it probably is.
- Stay on the app until you’ve met someone in person. Don’t feel pressured to meet before you’re ready.
- If it has been a while and the person refuses to meet in person and they’re always coming up with last-minute excuses, that could indicate that they’re not who they say they are.
Bottom Line
It’s understandable that you’d want a partner with similar beliefs, whether you’re looking for a short- or long-term relationship. Christians make up about two-thirds of adults in the U.S., which should make it easier to find someone. Whether you go with a senior-specific dating site, a Christian-specific site, or a more general site, there are many ways you can use online dating as a tool to find your love.
