Seniors Helping Seniors: Reviews and Costs in 2025

Like other home care agencies, Seniors Helping Seniors provides both personal care assistance and specialized dementia care to older adults in their homes. What separates this company, however, is that caregiving staff are all seniors rather than people of all ages.
If you’re looking for a qualified caregiver with a wealth of experience and compassion, Seniors Helping Seniors might be a great in-home care option.

Third-Party Reviews
As a franchise, each Seniors Helping Seniors location will vary in terms of customer experience. We looked at Yelp ratings for three locations across the U.S. to gauge clients’ experiences:
“Seniors Helping Seniors matched my Mom with a wonderful person who enriched her time during the day. Our helper was knowledgeable of the area, PATIENT, understanding and unflappable. We requested companion care and seniors helping seniors provided the exact type care we were looking for. The office responded to our inquiries in a timely manner and were exceptionally polite.”- New York, New York
“I have had the pleasure of working with the Seniors Helping Seniors team. I must say that they are truly wonderful folks. My mother whom they were supporting loved the folks that they sent. In her words they were kind and were great and caring helpers. She was comfortable with each and everyone of the support team. The Seniors Helping Seniors office staff was always available and was even able to send additional support staff when needed. They were a great support system when needed. I highly recommend them.”- Pennsylvania
“My 93-year-old mother needed some light assistance one or two days per week (not medical). We contacted a few various agencies and decided to give Seniors Helping Seniors a try. I don't live in NJ, but my brother and his wife do. They met with Dolores, the owner, at my mother's home and assessed her needs.
Within a week, my mother was paired with a woman named Joan. My mother liked her a lot; they have gotten along very well. First Joan came only once per week for a few hours to help my mother with errands or take her to appointments. Eventually she came twice a week.
My mother is moving out of state to NY (to be closer to my brother, who is also moving). Joan has been helping my mother to go through her closets and drawers to consolidate her stuff before the move.
Overall, it has been a very positive experience for our family. I'm in California so it's not like I can drop everything and come to NJ to help my mother on a constant basis. My brother and his wife are busy with their own stuff. It was wonderful to know that my mother could rely on Joan to help out.
I would definitely recommend Seniors Helping Seniors. Thank you, Dolores and Joan!!!!”- San Carlos, California

Cost and Pricing
Each Seniors Helping Seniors location is independently owned and operated, you’ll have to contact your nearest location for pricing information. Our clients in Boca Raton, Florida, for example, paid only $25 per hour, which is way under the $30-an-hour median cost of home health aides in the state, based on data from Genworth. This location has a two-hour minimum, while the industry standard is four-hour minimums.
In Warminster, Pennsylvania, our clients pay $34 an hour and need to book a minimum of nine hours per week. The nice thing about this location is that they don’t have a per-shift minimum number of hours. And the rate is the same no matter what day of the week it is, although it’s a bit higher than the state’s $31 per hour median.
Finally, in Arizona, the rate is $38 per hour, with no minimums. That’s slightly higher than the state’s median of $36 an hour.
