AT&T Senior Discounts
AT&T offers three different ways for seniors to save on their wireless bills.
AARP Discount
If you’re an active AARP member, you can save up to $10 per line when you choose the AT&T Unlimited Premium PL Plan, along with 15 percent off eligible accessories and up to $50 in savings for activation and upgrade fees. The $10 per line discount is applicable on up to five lines, and only the primary account holder must be an AARP member.
AT&T Unlimited 55+ Plan
If you’re over the age of 55 and reside in the state of Florida, you qualify for the AT&T Unlimited 55+ Plan. With this plan, customers get two lines with unlimited talk, text, and data for $40 per month per line. With many other wireless companies charging upward of $60 per month for unlimited data, this offer is a great one for Florida residents. We can’t wait for it to expand to other states.

AT&T Senior Nation Plans
As of May 2020, the AT&T Senior Nation plan is no longer available. Seniors looking for a plan with unlimited talk and text might instead opt for one of their prepaid plans. AT&T prepaid plans start at $25 per month.
AT&T Lifeline
An affordable phone and internet option for individuals with limited income, the Lifeline program provides discounts of at least $5.25 on their wireless or home phone bill. Customers who live on federally recognized tribal lands can get an additional discount of $25.
To qualify for Lifeline, you’ll need to meet one of the following criteria:
- Have an income 135 percent or less than the 2024 Federal Poverty Guidelines
- Participate in a federal assistance program such as:
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Medicare
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Tribal Programs for people living on federally recognized tribal lands
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefits
AT&T Military and Veteran Discount
AT&T offers 25 percent wireless discounts to members of the military, veterans, and their families. To be eligible for this discount, you’ll have to enroll in AutoPay and paperless billing.
The discount is open to:
- Active military service personnel, meaning they’ve received pay stubs in the past 90 days or less
- Honorably discharged military veterans
- Qualified spouses or survivors of either active duty members or deceased military service personnel (spouses and survivors of veterans are not eligible)
Additionally, there are no limits on the number of discounted lines on the military wireless account.
To qualify for the discount, you must present at least one of the following items:
- Pay stub within 90 days of purchase
- Department of Defense (DOD) Form DD214 that indicates an honorable discharge
- DOD form NGB 22/22A (veteran designated driver’s license)
- A marriage certificate for spouses and survivors
Further, you must be the primary wireless account holder and have an eligible AT&T Unlimited plan.
Restrictions
The military/veteran discount will only start in three bill cycles after service activation and eligibility are confirmed. Additionally, AT&T can discontinue the offer at any time at their discretion.
