STAFF: Joana Olaru has owned Alpine House, Inc. since 1996. She closely manages the care of all residents according to their wishes … with their family & under their doctor’s orders. She provides direct care on a regular basis. Joana holds an Advanced Nursing Degree from Romania, followed by years of experience, & a Masters Degree in Geriatrics & Nursing Homes Administration from the University of Charleroi, Belgium. Her formal training, 20 years of experience, and her strong belief in a smaller facility that offers continuity in care and stresses deep respect for individual’s worth and dignity no matter how cognitively or physically challenged that person is, makes out of her a uniquely skilled caregiver.
All Alpine House caregivers have at least three years of hands-on direct care experience as Nursing Assistants in other long-term care facilities or community care settings, current CPR & First Aid, annual continuing education training &, above all things, genuine compassion for the elderly.
